There’s nothing quite like walking through a beautifully designed bathroom with the person who built it. In our latest Home Channel TV video, we tour a custom modern bathroom packed with thoughtful details, high-end materials, and practical features that make everyday living feel a little more luxurious.
The builder walks us through every highlight, and the result is a space full of ideas you can steal for your own remodel or new home.
Modern Bathroom Walk-through Tour
The Standout Shower
The centerpiece is an impressive 8-foot-long walk-in shower. High-gloss 24x48 porcelain tiles (brought in by the container load from Spain) create a clean, expansive look. A poured zero-threshold pan makes entry seamless and wheelchair-friendly, while three high windows flood the space with natural light without sacrificing privacy.
A built-in bench sits conveniently near the shower head—perfect for shaving or washing hair—and a wall niche keeps essentials organized. Dual fixtures (a rain-style head plus a separate handheld) give you options for everything from a quick rinse to a full spa experience.

Freestanding Tub with Smart Touches
Opposite the shower sits a freestanding Max tub. A full Silestone shelf above it offers a perfect spot for candles or bath products, and a built-in niche plus a handheld sprayer make the tub as functional as it is inviting. The surrounding walls use the same polished porcelain tile in a vertical 12x24 layout, tying the wet area together with a cohesive, elevated look.
His-and-Hers Vanity Done Right
The vanity is a masterclass in storage and comfort. It’s a long his-and-hers setup where each person gets six drawers of their own, plus a center column with three ultra-deep drawers. A linen cabinet sits above with outlets inside—ideal for hair dryers, razors, and charging devices.
Countertops are comfort-height and extra tall, finished in premium Silestone quartz with a bold 3-inch mitered edge. Even better, the counters run an ultra-deep 26½ inches (instead of the usual 22), giving you more room behind the faucets and space for personal care products. Soft under-cabinet LED lighting in the toe kick doubles as a gentle night light.
Vertical 12x24 porcelain tile continues behind the vanities, visually stretching the height of the room.
Accessibility and Thoughtful Extras
Every door in the owner’s suite is a full 3 feet wide for true accessibility. The compartmentalized water closet includes a separate bidet, a Kohler toilet, and a built-in linen closet with plenty of shelf space. Two large his-and-hers walk-in closets complete the suite, each offering generous hanging, shoe storage, drawers, and shelving that take full advantage of the 10-foot ceilings.
Why This Bathroom Works
What makes this space special isn’t just the high-end materials—it’s how everything works together. Zero-threshold entry, smart storage, dual shower and tub options, extra-deep counters, and built-in lighting all solve real everyday problems while looking beautiful. The Spanish porcelain, Silestone surfaces, and clean modern lines create a calm, spa-like retreat that still feels practical for daily life.
Whether you’re planning a bathroom remodel or building new, this tour is packed with ideas worth considering.
